Communicators from the Ministry of Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment (MARDE) and the four Regional Development Agencies (RDA) participated in a workshop on ‘Interview and reportage techniques and writing of success stories’. The event took place on 26 – 27 June 2018 in Vadul-lui-Voda town. During two working days, Vitalie Dogaru, the trainer who facilitated the event spoke to the participants about state of art practices in interviewing, information and data gathering, writing reportages and success stories.
Valerian Mitioglo, specialist in communication, Gagauzia RDA: ‘This is a very efficient and appreciated training, as it addressed several types of media. We had a lot of practical exercises, particularly with reference to the style of writing success stories and to structuring coverages. I have gained knowledge, practice and experience which I will definitely apply further in my work’.
Lilia Hancu, specialist in planning and programming, Centre RDA: ‘Although I worked in media before, it is for the first time here that I have learned how to apply journalistic procedures in managing the image of a public institution. In this respect, the writing of success stories was one of the subjects I followed with much interest. I think expanding the circle of participants at this kind of trainings and, also, inviting the management of Regional Development Agencies would have a significant benefit on public communication process of institutions’.
The workshop served as an activity to build up the communication capacities of MARDE and RDAs employees. The event was organised under the ‘Modernization of Local Public Services in the Republic of Moldova’ (MLPS) project, implemented by the German Development Cooperation through GIZ. The practices and knowledge gained during the training will help the communicators in writing articles and press releases, in developing and publishing the MARDE Newsletter.
