On 5-6 September 2018 a workshop was organised for managers of public service projects. The workshop was attended by managers of 17 public service projects and regional advisors from the ‘Modernization of Local Public Services in the Republic of Moldova’ (MLPS) project. The objective of the event was to exchange experience as regards the quarterly reporting on progresses and outcomes, identification and monitoring of risks, drafting of check lists for project management and organisation of Local Steering Committee.

During two working days the facilitators of the workshop – MLPS national advisors, Vasile Brașovschi and Elena Spanu discussed and presented to the participants information on the project indicators fiches, best practices on project documenting, reporting and monitoring, as well as on communication and visibility aspects.

Victoria Ciobanu, manager of WSS project in Cahul: ‘This is a very efficient workshop as it will help us in our monitoring and reporting activities under the projects we coordinate’.

Nicolae Preguza, manager of WSS project in Calarasi: ‘It is a very interesting exercise from which I have acquired a lot of new knowledge which for sure will help me in my daily work. It would be appropriate if this kind of events are organised more often, as we first of all, find out a lot of new things and, also, have the possibility to meet our colleagues from other projects and share experience and practices with each other’.

Oxana Ciobanu, manager of WSS project in Ungheni: ‘It was an interactive workshop. We obtained clarity on aspects related to reporting, indicators fiches and visibility rules of the project. We learned a lot from our colleagues’ experience’.

The workshop was organised under the ‘Modernization of Local Public Services in the Republic of Moldova’ project implemented by the German Development Cooperation through GIZ.
