On April 15, 2015 Managing Authority of the EaPTC Programme has announced the Call for Proposals for strengthening territorial cooperation between Moldova and the bordering regions of Ukraine aimed to jointly develop and implement cross-border projects.

Territorial cooperation partners, including local authorities, communities and civil society organisations, from the whole territory of the Republic of Moldova and three eligible regions (oblasts) of Ukraine – Chernivtsi, Vinnytsya and Odesa – are invited to apply for grants to address common development challenges in their countries.

Priority is given to joint projects aimed at promotion of closer business links across the border, development of alternative employment opportunities in rural areas, solving cross-border environmental problems, including emergency preparedness. Promotion of multi-cultural diversity and social integration of ethnical minorities, as well as facilitation of people-to-people contacts in social sphere, culture, education and sports are likewise in the focus of Moldova – Ukraine Territorial Cooperation Programme. The overall indicative amount made available by the EU under this Call for Proposals is 3.3 million EUR.

Submission of project proposals is open until 14th of July 2015 at the address of the EaPTC Managing Authority North office (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, 44 Chervonoarmiyska St., 01004 Kyiv, Ukraine).
