The main priorities of collaboration within the Polish aid program were discussed today by Marcel Răducan, Minister of Regional Development and Construction and Katarzyna Kacperczyk, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland, in Chisinau.

The foreign assistance for regional development and constructions for 2014 was discussed today at the Ministry of Regional Development and Construction (MRDC). Thus, the members of the external assistance coordinating council in the concerned area present at the meeting reviewed MRDC's achievements in the second half of 2013 and listed the existing sectoral needs in the hope to identify new collaborative initiatives.

Yesterday, the conference for the launch of "Sustainability Principle in the Integrated Regional Development in Urban Cross-border Settlements Project", financed by the European Union through the Cross-Border Cooperation Romania - Ukraine - Moldova, was held at the Ministry of Regional Development and Construction.

Jolanta Chelminska, Voivod of Lodz Voivodeship, Poland and Marcel Răducan, Minister of Regional Development and Construction discussed yesterday afternoon about the Moldovan-Polish collaboration to promote regional development in our country. The discussions were held within a visit made by the Polish official to the Ministry of Regional Development and Construction.

Experts from France and Romania will support the local public authorities in our country to integrate spatial planning and regional development in a single planning framework. Thus, the representatives of the Ministry of Regional Development and Construction, Academy of Public Administration, other specialized central public authorities and I and II level LPAs met yesterday in a seminar to take over the experience of European experts and to adapt to socio-economic conditions of our country.

A delegation from Kargazstan came to our country to study the regional development policy. The foreign officials are here to learn about the evolution of the regional development process in Moldova, including the initiation of the process, the legal framework approved and the institutional framework.
