The communicators from the Ministry of Regional Development and Construction (MRDC) and Regional Development Agencies (RDA) participated in a workshop on techniques in writing press releases and editing photographs. The event was held on 30 June – 1 July, 2016, in Vadul lui Voda town. During two days of training, the trainers Vitalie Dogaru and Tatiana Etco shared with participants the newest knowledge and practices in the field.

Lilia Turcan, communication specialist, RDA Centre: ‘The seminar I attended served as a good opportunity for improving the techniques in writing and editing texts and photographs. The lessons learned at this training will help me in my daily work at the Agency. These seminars strengthen the team, make possible the experience exchange as well as, learning of new elements, the use of which will result in better communication and transparency of the work of regional development institutions where we conduct our activity’.

Ion Urușciuc, communication specialist, RDA North: ‘I found the workshop on how to make better press releases and photographs very useful. Not because the ‘recipes’ of such products are unknown to me, but mainly for the possibility to communicate with professionals on this subject, and also with people who do the same thing I’ve been doing for a long time.  It is really necessary from time to time, for somebody to ‘remind’ us how things that have become a routine can be done differently. If you do communication, it is crucial sometimes to change the lens through which you see things you communicate’.

The workshop served as an activity for building the communication skills of the MRDC and RDAs staff. The event was held under the ‘Modernization of local public services in the Republic of Moldova’ project (MLPS) that is implemented by German Development Cooperation through GIZ.

In addition, in 2016, the MRDC ‘Regional Development’ Newsletter is developed and published with MLPS/GIZ support in the field of communication and visibility.

The project ‘Modernization of local public services in the Republic of Moldova’ is implemented by the German Development Cooperation through GIZ and is financially supported by the German Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the Swedish Government, the Romanian Government, the European Union and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC).
