Energy efficient street lighting system in Tatarauca Veche village 

In order to raise public awareness about the newly created street lighting service, the information campaign ‘Village Back to Life through the Power of Light’ was conducted in October and November 2012. The campaign installed 16 information boards in Tatarauca Veche Village and disseminated 500 flyers.

The campaign used a door-to-door approach in order to foster communication with citizens, who need to know the objectives, costs, and benefits of this public service. Six public hearings were also held. The campaign was conducted by Contact Center in Balti.

The ‘Media-Art’ Company produced an advertising video entitled ‘Village Back to Life through the Power of Light’, which illustrates the advantages of efficient street lighting for rural communities. 

The awareness raising campaign for energy efficient street lighting was conducted in partnership with the Regional Development Agency North, the Ministry of Regional Development and Construction and the Agency for Energy Efficiency.
