A constructive discussion on regional development in Moldova was held today in Chisinau. The meeting was attended by the Minister of Regional Development and Constructions, Marcel Raducan and a number of important representatives of countries that provide financial support to our country.  

“We analyzed the problems in the sector, identified some solutions to overcome them, and talked about expanding the project portfolio. Moreover, today’s meeting was an impetus for improving the mechanism of coordination of assistance at the executive level, beyond political factors” said Minister Marcel Răducan.

In turn, Her Excellency Ulrike Maria Knotz, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany in Moldova stressed the good cooperation between the German International Cooperation through GIZ and the Ministry of Regional Development and Construction.

“We found an efficient implementation of regional development projects, and noted the efficiency of the Regional Development Agencies in Moldova. The German Federal Government will continue to support the regional development process in your country to ensure a better life for the citizens of the Republic of Moldovan”, Her Excellency said.

At the same time, the minister Raducan said that such dialog formulas would be a complementary support to the Foreign assistance council for regional development of the Ministry of Regional Development and Construction. “We want to have quarterly open discussions with development partners, to achieve a higher level of transparency and efficiency for coordinating regional development strategies,” said Marcel Răducan.
