On 25-26 September the representatives of Centre Regional Development Agency (Centre RDA) are taking part in an International Conference on European bilateral cooperation and best practice models acquired for the implementation of ROP 2014-2020, carried out in la Alba Iulia, Romania. The event is dedicated to the 10th anniversary of cooperation institutionalised between Centre Region (Romania) and the Federal State of Brandenburg (Germany).
‘The last years in regional development process and results achieved at local level is the best reason to put into spotlight the exchange of best practices at regional and European levels. In this way, we would like to think together what exactly defines European partnerships of Centre Regions and how they can become more valuable for the entire community’, mentioned Simion Cretu, general director of Centre Regional Development Agency, Romania.
During the meeting on best practice models of using European funds for regional development, Centre RDA Viorel Jardan made a presentation of regional development priorities in the Republic of Moldova and of intervention area according to the Regional Development Strategy 2016-2020.
In her speech on general framework of Centre Region European partnerships development, Ovidia Caba, director of Romanian Centre RDA Department pointed out that the partnership with RDA and Centre Region from the Republic of Moldova is a special one together with the cooperation institutionalised with the Federal State of Brandenburg from Germany.
In the course of the conference the positive experiences gained during ten years were discussed and new opportunities for collaboration and development were identified with partners from Germany, Hungary and the Republic of Moldova. Also, the invitees admired the exhibition dedicated to this ten-year experience between Centre Region and the Federal State of Brandenburg, visited facilities constructed as part of several regional projects and attended cultural events.
The delegation from the Republic of Moldova participating at the conference in Alba Iulia consisted of Viorel Jardan, director of Centre RDA; Marina Preteca-Neaga, head of International Relations and Investment Attraction Service; Angela Dumitrasco and Denis Parea, representatives of ‘Modernization of Local Public Services in the Republic of Moldova’ (GIZ) project and Mihail Popa, president of Straseni Rayon.
