Reconstruction of external heating networks and installation of individual heating points for Orhei Rayon Hospital are performed according to the plan of works agreed by all parties involved in the project implementation. This was stated after the visit made yesterday, 27 May, by the specialists of the Centre RDA and the Energy Efficiency GIZ consultant to the project “Improvement of Energy Efficiency at Orhei Regional Hospital”.

This working meeting was also attended by representatives of Orhei Rayon Hospital, Orhei Rayon Council, the technical responsible and the site supervisor.

Attendees met to discuss the works to be performed later and found that by the time contractors complied with the work plan for project implementation.

“Improvement of Energy Efficiency of Orhei Regional Hospital” was initiated by the Centre RDA in 2012 with the financial support of the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ). Thanks to the projects implemented in the recent years, Orhei Rayon Hospital has managed to become a model of energy efficiency for all public buildings in the Central Region and throughout the country. Besides the annual savings, the hospital has become more attractive to patients from other Rayons. Although the hospital is called Rayon hospital, the project had a regional impact. The medical institution is considered a model of energy management and manages to attract patients from other three neighbouring Rayons: Soldanesti, Rezina and Telenesti.

We note that in 2010-2015 the German Government allocated for the pilot project of Orhei Rayon Hospital a total of 16,936 mln MDL, of which 7,295 mln MDL were used so far, while the remaining amount is to be used by the end of this year.
