Today, the entrepreneurs in the Southern region have set the priorities for growth and development of the region, in a regional forum organized by the Ministry of Regional Development and Construction, together with the Regional Development Agency South in Cimişlia.

The forum was attended by Marcel Răducan, Minister of Regional Development and Construction, Andrian Candu Deputy Minister of Economy, His Excellency Pirkka Tapiola, Head of EU Delegation in Moldova, entrepreneurs from the region and representatives of delegations from Romania, Slovakia, Germany etc.

“One of the priorities for regional development is support to entrepreneurs. The South Development Region has an enormous economic potential, and by establishing partnerships and implementing projects, we can develop this economic potential,” said Minister Marcel Răducan in the context of state’s interest for a stable and productive economic framework.

The interest for ensuring a favorable economic climate for the region was also expressed by the deputy Prime Minister Andrian Candu. 

His Excellency Pirkka Tapiola noted that the Association Agreement opens one of the largest economic markets for Moldova. “The EU’s principles imply equal opportunities for all citizens and the regional development can ensure prosperity of your country”, said His Excellency Pirkka Tapiola.

The Regional Forum aims to strengthen cooperation of public with the private sector to promote tools to stimulate the economic activity in the Southern Region.
