Floarea sector in Hincesti town was connected to the centralized sewerage system. On Wednesday, residents of Floarea sector in Hincesti town had a reason of great joy – the local administration put into operation a modern wastewater pumping station as part of construction of town sewerage system project.

In the beginning, the mayor together with the president of Rayon solemnly cut the ribbon of inauguration of the facility concerned, followed by messages of congratulation and gratitude to those directly involved in implementation of this project important for the town.

Alexandru Botnari have shown himself satisfied and proud that Floarea sector residents will benefit from centralized sewerage system, which will reduce the high costs they had to pay requesting for waste collection vehicle to take wastewater from households. At the same time, the mayor noted that, although the sewerage system has not reached yet some streets in the sector, this issue is being worked out intensively, so that soon all households will have access to the town modern sewerage system. ‘Other four sectors of the town will follow, where the sewerage system will be commissioned in a few months, – the mayor stated. Now that we have new water supply and sewerage system, we can repair roads as well, modernizing the urban infrastructure. We thank the Rayon Council, the Ministry of Environment, the utilities, the businesses that performed the works and all my colleagues for their work for this project to be implemented successfully. We want 100% of the town to have sewerage system, but to do this we need investments of about EUR 1 million. However, we will strive to implement this project in the whole town’.

Ghenadie Buza addressed to those present not as president of the Rayon, but, as he said, beneficiary and resident of Floarea sector of Hincesti town. ‘We are glad that such projects are implemented, because based on my own experience I know how many expenses are required to remove waste with waste collection vehicles from each household, we are therefore glad that we will benefit from modern services at affordable prices. We thank the mayor’s office and the contractor for the efforts made and we will strive to continue to do beautiful things for the citizens of Hincesti town and the entire Rayon’.

‘As providers of water and sewerage services, we thank the administration for investments made in this sector – Gheorghe Lica, the General Director of CC ‘Amen Ver’ JSC said. Now we have a modern sewerage system, an automated station, which will allow us to provide services that will substantially improve the living conditions of residents of our town. If until now, to transport wastewater with a waste collection vehicle with a volume of 3m3 of water cost MDL 294, from now on, to dispose the same amount of wastewater through the central sewerage system, will cost just MDL 22,5. Thus, citizens will make significant savings of family budget on payment of sewerage services”.

Andrei Cojocaru, the contractor who performed the works related to the sewerage system in Floarea sector, said that this pumping station is the first modern station in the town and the most modern station in the country, to which 600 households are connected. ‘This new and advanced system will reduce monthly expenses of consumers and, due to the construction of this station, the danger of landslides caused by wells in the area will disappear” – the contractor said, wishing consumers to use with pleasure the services they waited for for decades.

The project “Reconstruction of the Sewerage System in Hincesti Town” is implemented by Hincesti town with the support of the National Ecological Fund, the total cost for the first phase making up 10 million MDL, of which about 3 million MDL were invested in construction of the pumping station no. 1 in Floarea sector.
