Today, 15 May 2015 within the NBS is conducted the first national workshop on ‘Users and producers of regional statistics’, the aim of which is to discuss on information needs of decision makers and how the statistical system respond to them.
Within the workshop was presented the local and regional statistics use by the Ministry of Regional Development and Construction and Small Areas Deprivation Index calculated by the Ministry of Economy. On the production side, the National Bureau of Statistics presented the current situation of regional statistics, with an assessment from the perspective of EU. More than 60 participants, representatives of central and local public authorities, regional development agencies, discussed the possibilities for dialogue between users and producers.
This is the first workshop organized by the project ‘Improving regional statistics in the Republic of Moldova’ (STATREG), from a series of workshops that will be pursued at regional level.
