Presentation of the draft Socio – Economic Development Strategy of the Leova Rayon for 2015-2020, component ‘Water supply and sanitation’.
Specialists of the South Regional Development Agency (South RDA), experts and advisors of the German Development Cooperation through GIZ, representatives of the Rayon Council and Leova municipality, as well as of ME ‘Apa-Canal’, represented the team that discussed and finalized the component ‘water supply and sanitation’ of the strategic document.
During the opening of the meeting, Mrs Maria Culeşov, director of South RDA, stressed that ‘it was done a long and tremendous work by the working group and the strategy presented today and subsequently the feasibility study will help in in the future attracting investments to your rayon’.
GIZ advisors /GOPA experts presented the structure and content of the document and the working group members intervened with questions that have been clarified by the project experts.
All proposed changes will be reviewed by GIZ experts and included in the final document of the strategy. As established by the members of the WG, after joining any proposals within the text of the document, the strategy is to be presented for approval at the meeting of the Leova Rayon Council in early September.
