Academy of Public Administration, in partnership with the German Development Cooperation through GIZ, continues the training of staff from local public administration authorities of level I and II entitled ‘REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT’. Thus, during 7 to 11 April 2014, it was organized the second course with the same title.

The content of the professional development course focused on:

  • deepen, update the knowledge regarding legal and institutional framework for regional development;
  • competence development for practical application of European experience in regional development, regional planning and analysis, implementation, monitoring and evaluation in the field;
  • modelling attitudes of accountability in using resources and tools for regional development.

The training was attended by representatives of LPAs of level I and II, RDA South was represented by the specialist in strategic planning and programming, Valentina Musteata.

Participants got familiar with concept framework of Monitoring & Evaluation of Regional Development and Public Private Partnership functionality as a tool of regional management.

During information sessions, there were discussed issues related to the application of international recommendations on integrated sustainable development in planning and implementation of national regional development policies, and the current model of integrated regional development of the European Union.

We would like to reiterate, that training of staff from LPA of levels I and II takes place in partnership with the Ministry of Regional Development and Construction and the German Development Cooperation through GIZ, aiming at enhancing the theoretical and practical skills on regional development.
