The Council coordinating foreign assistance in the field of regional development and construction met today, 21 July this year, to discuss the activities performed by the Ministry of Regional Development and Construction (MRDC) throughout the year.

“This event that has already became a tradition expresses the common interest of our ministry and national and foreign partners to deepen cooperation in the field of regional development and construction”, the Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Construction, Anatol Usatii, said in his greeting message.

At the summing-up meeting achievements in urban planning and thermal rehabilitation of apartment houses, implementation of Eurocodes in Moldova were presented. Also, a major development in terms of establishing new partnerships with foreign donors was also noted. During this period memoranda were signed with the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation and with the Czech Development Agency that will bring added value to sector projects and programs, tailored to the current needs and challenges.

Also, Oxana Paierele, Head of the Directorate of International Relations and Attraction of Investments, expressed her gratitude for the contribution of all institutional partners of the MRDC to implementation of joint projects, including commitments of the Association Agreement between Moldova and the European Union. At the same time, at this event reference was made to the list of recommendations of the development partners (Information Notes from the Development Partners of Moldova 2015)

Today’s meeting was attended by representatives of the MRDC, the Ministry of Environment, the State Chancellery, the Embassy of Romania, the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), the Swiss Cooperation Office; the Austrian Development Agency; the Czech Development Agency and representatives of the project teams, etc.
