Today, 13 July a workshop on the engagement of civil society in the process of modern local public services delivery targeting representatives of the Ministry of Regional Development and Constructions (MRDC) and Regional Development Agencies (RDA) was carried out, following the workshop on the same topic organised under the ‘Modernization of Local Public Services in the Republic of Moldova’ Project, attended by approx. 30 representatives of civil society organisations.

The event included a general presentation of modalities for engaging civil society in the process of local public services delivery; international experience on raising awareness; milestones and activities based on the ‘5-pillar’ approach for the implementation of efficient local public services, as well as, examples of engaging Civil Society Organisations in a public services project.

The project ‘Modernization of Local Public Services in the Republic of Moldova’ (MLPS) is implemented by the German Development Cooperation through GIZ and is financially supported by the German Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the Swedish Government, the Romanian Government, the European Union and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC).
