Recently, it was held the final conference of the Campaign, through which was promoted to the population of Cahul, the use of quality drinking water.

The Campaign implemented by CONTACT Centre – Cahul, included a series of public events and themed lessons within schools in Cahul and the purpose of the Campaign was to raise awareness on the benefits of a modern drinking water supply and sanitation system.

 ‘I highly appreciate the results that we have obtained during this campaign. According to final data that are relative, we managed to get up to 15 thousand people’ has declared Silvia Strelciuc, Director of Contact Centre – Cahul for ziuadeazi.md.

At the event, there were presented the activities that were carried out during the information campaign, the results and also reference was made to the participants in actions.

 ‘Citizens of Cahul are aware of this field. We know the current situation in Cahul and namely that there is poor water quality in artesian wells and wells ‘told us Veaceslav Balanel, Vice-president of Cahul Rayon.

According to organizers, the campaign’s activities will continue due to major importance of this topic for the population of Cahul Rayon.

Information and awareness raising campaign for Cahul Rayon citizens is carried out by the Contact Centre Cahul and the working group which coordinates the information campaign includes representatives of LPAs of level I and II from the rayon, South Regional Development Agency, Public Health Centre Cahul, Cahul Ecological Agency, Cahul Education Department, Cahul Mayors Association, Cahul City Hall, ME ‘Apa-Canal Cahul’.
