The fourth meeting of the National Contact Points (NCP) and Priority Area Coordinators (PACs) within EUSDR was held during the current week in Vienna.

The event was held under the aegis of the European Commission aimed at reviewing the work of the national coordinators and priorities coordinators in 2013 regarding project implementation and execution of the proposed action plan.

At the same time, each national coordinator reported on the level of involvement in the appointment of Danube Transnational Programme.

The meeting was attended by officials from the institutions responsible for the implementation of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region, representatives of the European Commission (DG REGIO), national coordinators and presidents of the coordinating groups of priority areas (NCPs and PACs) within EUSDR , experts and members of diplomatic corps accredited in Vienna.

The Republic of Moldova was represented by Svetlana Rogov, head of international relations and investments department on behalf of the national coordinator of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region in the Republic of Moldova.

The agenda of the event included: the current state of EUSDR implementation and recommendations to successfully implement its objectives.

Among the main recommendations can be mentioned: improving communication between EUSDR participating countries, execution of the vision plan , strengthening national structures for implementing and synchronizing efforts with EUSDR member states, submitting additional efforts to achieve tangible results in the implementation of various projects and initiatives , raising public awareness regarding EUSDR benefits and objectives, and organizing the third annual EUSDR Forum to be held in Vienna in June 2014.
