The Ministry of Regional Development and Construction and the Regional Development Agencies (RDAs) completed the first phase of the Tender for selection of projects to be funded from the National Regional Development Fund (NRDF) during the years 2017-2020.
Thus, in the period from 15 March to 3 May this year, the local public authorities of the level I and II of the North, Centre, South development regions and Gagauzia TAU were encouraged to submit project concept notes to the RDAs.
According to the representatives of the Regional Development Agencies a total of 297 concept notes were submitted. The projects submitted covered the following fields: road infrastructure, water supply and sanitation, improving the environmental factors, development of the business infrastructure, increasing tourism attractiveness and energy efficiency of public buildings.
We also note that the project proposals covered specific objectives set forth in the National Regional Development Strategy 2016-2020 and the Sector Regional Programs.
Completion of the concept note submission phase is followed by several phases of their evaluation. Subsequently, at the second phase complete applications for funding of the concept notes selected and approved by the Regional Development Councils will be developed and submitted.
We remind that along with the beginning of the Tender of projects a number of information sessions were organized for all potential applicants from the Rayons of the Development Regions.
