Representatives of the RDA Center in cooperation with Soldanesti Rayonal Council held the Meeting aimed to establish the Joint Stock Company responsible for solid waste management in Soldanesti and Rezina rayons “. The meeting was held under the implementation of the interregional project “Enhancing the Integrated Solid Waste Management System in Soldanesti, Rezina and Florești”.
The meeting was attended by 24 founders of the association, and experts from the German Development Cooperation through GIZ, which facilitated the meeting discussions.
Those present at the meeting agreed on the name Salubritate Soldanesti for the Joint Stock Company, and are planning to submit documents for its registration with the Registration Chamber.
The project implemented for the micro-region Soldanesti, Rezina and Floresti and Rezina is a pilot project for solid waste management. This initiative is an example of cooperation that goes beyond the boundaries of the development regions. Thus, the Center Regional Development Region started this project in 2010. Starting with 2014, Center RDA will continue its activities in Rezina and Soldanesti rayons. Within Floresti rayon the project is monitored by North RDA.
The common system of solid waste management will bring benefits to the population of the three rayons, i.e. approx. 200,000 inhabitants. The project provides for construction of a landfill in Şoldăneşti, two recycling plants in Floreşti and Şoldăneşti and two transfer stations in Floreşti and Cotiujenii Mari.
