The Ministry of Regional Development and Construction and the Regional Development Agency Center, with the support of the German Development Cooperation through GIZ organized a calrification session of PPCs in water supply and sanitation (WSS). These workshops are conducted within the project “Modernization of Local Public Services in the Republic of Moldova” and as integrated part of the activity plan of the intervention area 2 “Regional planning and programming”.
At the Meeting no.5 of the Technical Working Group, which took place on the 19th of February, 2014, was launched the process for the development of possible project concepts (PPC). At that time it was agreed that each rayon should submit a maximum of 2 PPCs (city of residence and another project from the rayon, according to the criteria announced).
Thus, on the 5th of March, 2014, it was organized a clarification session of PPCs, where were discussed with the experts from the WSS sector, the difficulties encountered in their development.
The meeting was conducted in two stages, so that early in the day there were invited Ungheni, Calarasi, Straseni, Rezina, Soldanesti, Dubasari and Criuleni rayons, and in the second – Ialoveni, Anenii Noi, Hincesti, Orhei, Telenesti and Nisporeni rayons.
Representatives from all rayons came with their project ideas (rayon councils, LPAs of residence towns, WSS service providers), showing a high interest for the development of possible project concepts. The deadline for submission of PPCs is the 21st of March, 2014, and until then, Center RDA with GIZ-GOPA2 experts will offer advice on request.
