Humoristic contest with the theme “Our daily water” held recently in Cahul, involved youth from several educational institutions in the city.

The event was occasioned to the “World Water Day” and was part of the information and awareness raising campaign on water and sanitation services for the population in Cahul rayon.

There were three teams in the contest: “POSEIDON”, “THIRSTY” and “DEWDROPS” consisting of young people from the State University “B. P. Hasdeu” in Cahul and High School “I. Creanga”.

The students presented a series of sketches focusing on the quality of water supply, water quality in the city, but also the importance of water quality to the public.

However, the young people have drawn attention to the problems faced by the city and citizens regarding water supply services.

Information and awareness raising campaign of the citizens in Cahul rayon is carried out by the “Contact-Cahul” Centre and the working group that coordinates the information campaign includes representatives of LPA of level I and II of the rayon, Regional Development Agency South, Public Health Center Cahul, Cahul Ecological Agency, Cahul Education Department, Cahul Mayors’ Association, Cahul Mayor’s office, ME “Apa- Canal” Cahul.
