Specialists in business support services of CCI, including subsidiaries, are trained in preparing tender books and completing public procurement contracts within a two-day seminar organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Moldova in partnership with the German Development Cooperation through GIZ under the ‘Modernization of local public services’ project, component ‘Complementary private sector support’ through Pilot Regional Development Programme of the European Union.

Within the training course, there are discussed important subjects related to the initiation and conduct of public procurement process, such as: main objectives in public procurement, mandatory notices within procurement procedures and deadlines for each type of public procurement procedure.

Ecaterina Grib, public procurement expert, pointed out that holding a series of training seminars is absolutely necessary in order to crystallize and enhance economic operators’ knowledge on public procurement, related laws and regulations that are constantly changing. ‘Through this series of seminars, we help both economic operators and public authorities, creating favorable and effective environment for cooperation between them. At the same time, we significantly contribute to the streamlining of authorities’ efforts in verifying public procurement files’ added Mrs Grib.

We would like to mention that among the 20 participants in seminars, there are specialists in business support services of CCI subsidiaries from different regions of the country, which subsequently will provide consultancy to economic operators on the compilation of application documents for public procurement and training for economic operators in the field. Today’s seminar (27 February) on ‘Contract management. Risks and economic operators’ forfeit’ will include information on the contract’s parties and the risks that may arise upon its failure.

The next series of seminars is expected on 5 and 6 March.
