The second ordinary meeting of the regional working group (RWG), to support the private sector.

The Ministry of Regional Development and Construction and the German Development Cooperation through GIZ, through the Modernization of Local Public Services Project considered providing support to private sector representatives, through implementation of the “Additional support to private sector” sub-component. It should be reiterated here that the activities are conducted with the financial support of the European Union.

In this context, today, September 24, 2014, the second meeting of the Regional Working Group was held. The meeting was attended by representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry from the South Region branches, procurement specialist from Sourth RDA, GIZ consultants, abd the long-term expert hired by SEQUA (EASTERN COMMITTEE OF THE GERMAN ECONOMY), Volker Stötzer. In its second ordinary meeting, the regional working group assessed the activities conducted during June – August 2014, proposed the work plan for the period September – December 2014 and established the date for the third meeting of the regional working group.

Ultimately, the working group decided to organize a round of training courses for business entities on matters related to public procurement. The training is planned to be conducted in October – November 2014 in 3 centers – Căușeni, Cahul, Găgăuzia.

Modernization of Local Public Services Project aims to provide support to private sector representatives through implementation of „Additional Support to Public Sector” sub-component. During the first meeting of the RWG the membership of the regional working group, the plan of activity, the date and place for future meetings was approved.
