Jolanta Chelminska, Voivod of Lodz Voivodeship, Poland and Marcel Răducan, Minister of Regional Development and Construction discussed yesterday afternoon about the Moldovan-Polish collaboration to promote regional development in our country. The discussions were held within a visit made by the Polish official to the Ministry of Regional Development and Construction.

The topics addressed included the directions of the Moldovan-Polish cooperation for 2014, support provided by the Polish government in building the capacity of the public administration in Moldova, as well as the recommendations of Polish experts in project implementation.  

“Poland is an example of promotion of regional development for our country. We appreciate the support provided by Polish experts and the experience taken over from them will help us efficiently implement the projects financed by European funds”, the minister Marcel Raducan said. The minister also underlined the importance and the role of Polish support in our country’s European path, noting that Polish experts were available to teach us based on their mistakes, providing a collaboration based on sincerity, trust and loyalty.  

In turn, Jolanta Chelminska noted that the Polish counterpart was willing to share its experience for fully supporting Moldova in its European path and for properly informing the citizens of our country about the importance of implementation of projects implemented from European funds, including the benefits of European cooperation. The official also presented an official invitation to Minister Raducan to make this experience exchange and learn from the practices of both the Lodz voivodship and of other voivodships with which it has a reach collaboration experience.

Thus, at the end of the meeting, the counterparts concluded that the dialogue was effective, and cooperation with Poland would continue in 2014, including exchange of experience and best practices in the implementation of specific projects.
