The main priorities of collaboration within the Polish aid program were discussed today by Marcel Răducan, Minister of Regional Development and Construction and Katarzyna Kacperczyk, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland, in Chisinau.

Katarzyna Kacperczyk has informed that in 2014, the Polish part will support the implementation of the National Strategy for Regional Development of the Republic of Moldova, as well as regional development strategies; will assist in drafting regional development projects and development of regions, as well as will continue to achieve exchange of experience and good practices for the promotion and development of investments in the regions.

The Minister, Marcel Răducan, has emphasized the issues of bilateral cooperation and noted that the Poland’s support to our country is effective, therefore, MRDC requested the extension of collaboration. At the same time, the Minister has expressed his conviction that the Moldovan-Polish cooperation directions set for 2014 reflect the full needs of the Republic of Moldova’s citizens, including in the context of our country’s European course.

During the dialogue, the officials discussed regarding the project of establishing a Moldovan-Polish Business Council in the city of Lublin and the opportunity of hiring an expert, who will provide assistance to the MRDC in the process of upgrading Strategies.

Therewith, the parties have agreed on the objectives and expectations of the project “Strengthening public administration in the Republic of Moldova in preparing the implementation of projects that contribute to increased competitiveness and development potential of regions in the Republic of Moldova”, implemented within the Polish aid program for 2014.

 

It is necessary to mention that, Katarzyna Kacperczyk is accompanied by a delegation of 30 officials and businessmen, and the purpose of the visit is to assess the progress on the preparation of the official visit of the Polish Prime Minister D. Tusk, scheduled for the 28th of March, 2014.
