LPA level I and II representatives from Nisporeni, Ungheni and Calarasi rayons participated today, 25 March in an information session on the Call of Proposals for funding from the National Fund for Regional Development for 2017-2020. The event was held in Nisporeni, with the participation of Vasile Bitca, Minister of Regional Development and Construction and gathered more than 100 potential beneficiaries of regional development projects from the three rayons mentioned above.

The event started with a minute of silence in memory of the victims of the terrorist attacks in Brussels on 22 March.
On 22 March 2016, RDA South held its first information session on Call of Proposals for regional development projects for 2017-2020. The Ministry of Regional Development and Construction (MRDC) launched today a new competition for projects to be financed from the National Fund for Regional Development (NFRD) during 2017-2020. The competition is organised in compliance with Law no. 438 from 28.12.2006 on the regional development in the Republic of Moldova and aims at developing the regional economies, regional and local infrastructure and modernize local public services across the entire country.
The launch of a new call of proposals financed from the National Fund for Regional Development and examination of the new National Strategy for Regional Development (NSRD) for 2016-2020 were among the main topics discussed at the National Council for Regional Development Coordination (NCRD) meeting on 10 March 2016.
