The Ministry of Regional Development and Construction and the Regional Development Agencies (RDAs) completed the first phase of the Tender for selection of projects to be funded from the National Regional Development Fund (NRDF) during the years 2017-2020. Thus, in the period from 15 March to 3 May this year, the local public authorities of the level I and II of the North, Centre, South development regions and Gagauzia TAU were encouraged to submit project concept notes to the RDAs.

Today, 3 May 2016, at the expiration of 50 days after the official launch of the third National Tender for Project Proposals 2017-2020 with funding from the National Development Fund, the South Regional Development Agency (RDA) and the Ministry of Regional Development and Construction announce completion of the first phase of the above tender. Thus, from 15 March to 3 May this year 100 concept notes developed by LPAs of levels I and II were filed to and recorded at the South RDA in accordance with the specific Objectives set out in the Centre Regional Development Strategy 2016-2020 and Sector Regional Programs.

The Ministry of Regional Development and Construction (MRDC) and the Centre Regional Development Agency (RDA) announce completion of the PHASE ONE of the 3rd Tender of Project Proposals of the National Regional Development Fund for the years 2017-2020. Thus, in the period from 15 March to 3 May 2016, the local public authorities of the level I and II in the Centre Region were encouraged to submit project concept notes to the Centre RDA which is located in the premises of Ialoveni Rayon Council.

Changing the frequency of the tender of project proposals, setting up of an analytical centre that would analyze the projects through the development of the country in the next 10 years, and inclusion of the provision on synergy of national funds are some of the main amendments requested by local authorities at the consultations that took place recently at the Ministry of Regional Development and Construction on amendment of to the Law on Regional Development.

On 30 March, Orhei and Telenesti local public authorities representatives took part in an information session on the Call of Proposals for projects to be submitted for funding from the National Fund in 2017-2020. The seminar was held in Orhei and gathered around 100 participants interested in the process of applying for funding to the National Fund for Regional Development within the next four years.

Local public authorities (LPA) level I and II representatives from Drochia, Soroca and Floresti rayons, eligible to participate in the Call of Proposals for regional development projects in 2017-2020, took part on Wednesday, 30 March, in a workshop held at Constantin Stere Lyceum from Soroca. Around 70 potential beneficiaries of funds allocated from National Fund for Regional Development attended the event.

On 29 March, local public authorities level I and II representatives from Stefan Voda and Causeni rayons participated in the second information session organised by the Regional Development Agency South within the Call of Proposals for regional development projects for 2017-2020 with Ministry of Regional Development and Construction support. The event took place in Stefan Voda with more than 50 participants. The Ministry of Regional Development and Construction was represented by Sergiu Cecan, head of Division for Relations with the Regional Development Institutions.

The local public authorities (LPA) level I and II from Briceni, Ocnita, Edinet, and Donduseni, which are eligible for taking part in the Call of Proposals for regional development project selection for 2017-2020, participated in an information session at Edinet Rayon Council premises on Friday, 25 March. Around 70 potential beneficiaries of grants allocated from the National Fund for Regional Development (NFRD) gathered in Edinet.

LPA level I and II representatives from Nisporeni, Ungheni and Calarasi rayons participated today, 25 March in an information session on the Call of Proposals for funding from the National Fund for Regional Development for 2017-2020. The event was held in Nisporeni, with the participation of Vasile Bitca, Minister of Regional Development and Construction and gathered more than 100 potential beneficiaries of regional development projects from the three rayons mentioned above.

Local public authorities (LPA) representatives level I and II from Balti municipality and Singerei, Riscani, Glodeni, and Falesti rayons, eligible to participate in the Call of Proposals for regional development for 2017-2020, took part in an information session held at Balti city hall premises on Thursday, 24 March. The event started with a minute of silence in memory of the victims of the terrorist attacks in Brussels on 22 March.

On 22 March 2016, RDA South held its first information session on Call of Proposals for regional development projects for 2017-2020. At the meeting, the representatives of the Ministry of Regional Development and Construction and RDA South informed the participant LPAs level I and II from Cimislia, Basarabeasca, Taraclia and Leova rayons regarding the general framework, specifics and stages of the call of proposals, user guidelines, concept note, and complete funding request.

On 23 March, local public authorities (LPAs) level I and II from Hincesti, Ialoveni and Straseni rayons participated in an information session on the Call of Proposals for projects financed from the National Fund for Regional Development (NFRD) for 2017-2020. The event was held in Ialoveni city and gathered over 70 potential beneficiaries of regional development projects from the three rayons mentioned above. The potential applicants to the NFRD for 2017-2020 welcomed the initiative to organise these information sessions.
